Good Morning Church Family,
It has been an amazing summer at Storehouse, so many wonderful stories to share with you all and things to look out for and join in with.
James one of our clients who then became a member of Vineyard and was baptised on Easter Sunday; has been in a Christian rehab now for six weeks, he is doing amazingly well and has asked that we all remember him in our prayers. It is a long journey and although James loves being able to grow in his faith and attend church, he is really missing WWV and the church family here.
The cafe on a Friday is absolutely thriving; we have a wonderful fortnightly women's group called Comfort Cafe, this is for women who are neurodivergent, it is fantastic to be able to offer a safe space for so many. We have an amazing team of volunteers running the cafe and baking the most amazing food. Please pop in and join the fun on a Friday if you're free.
We are going to be in the park for Uniform Services Day on the 13th of September; this is a huge event for us and a great way to raise much needed funds for our essential work. Please come along and support us and the local community.
On Tuesday morning I was at Cumberwell Park with my famous Tombola team to talk to a wonderful group of ladies about the work we do and why we do it. It is always such a great honour to share how our work impacts the local community and can literally change lives. I still find myself feeling emotional when I do these talks as I get to look back at all of the wonderful things we have been a part of, along with the sorrows we have shared and the struggles we have supported. This work is such a blessing and we all feel very honoured to be a part of the team.
Many thanks and blessings to you all, Jill
