About Storehouse

Storehouse Foodbank is here to support individuals, couples, and families facing short-term hardship. Based in Trowbridge, we began in 2006 in response to a growing need in our community—and that need has continued to rise.

Over the years, we’ve built strong partnerships with local agencies and services, allowing us to reach and support more people when it matters most. In April 2010, we expanded our work by opening a dedicated referral centre, helping us respond more effectively to increasing demand.

Many of the people we support are navigating incredibly challenging circumstances. This might include losing a job, dealing with serious illness, rebuilding after a relationship breakdown, or recovering from domestic abuse. Whatever the situation, our focus is simple: to provide practical help, dignity, and support during difficult times.

Pantry

Our Pantry offers a practical, mid-term solution for those experiencing food poverty—bridging the gap between emergency support and long-term stability.

Through the Pantry, members can access a range of everyday essentials and choose the items they need, all at heavily subsidised prices. It’s designed to give people more flexibility, dignity, and control over their food choices while helping stretch tight budgets further.

Every purchase made through the Pantry directly supports Storehouse. All proceeds are reinvested back into our food supplies, helping us continue to support the wider community and ensure help is there for those who need it most.

The food bank distributes non-perishable items in good condition and in date. The cost of a food parcel can vary depending on several factors, for example the price of food at any given time and the size of the bag being distributed.

If you are able to support us here are some ideas for donations that will support our clients:

Re:Fresh

Re:Fresh is a school-based project supporting children and young people who may not have access to everyday toiletries and self-care essentials. Launched in 2015, the project grew from a clear need within schools—where some students were facing challenging circumstances that made it harder to maintain personal hygiene and wellbeing.

By providing a simple, thoughtfully prepared wash bag, Re:Fresh helps young people feel more confident, supported, and able to take care of themselves. We work in partnership with schools across Wiltshire and Somerset, distributing bags discreetly through pastoral teams to ensure students can access support with dignity.

In its first year, Re:Fresh provided 250 toiletry bags to students across the region—and continues to support many more each year.

What’s included?
Each wash bag contains a selection of essential items, including:
Shampoo | Shower Gel | Soap | Flannel | Toothbrush | Toothpaste | Deodorant | Sanitary Towels | Brush or Comb

Each bag also includes a simple self-care guide, along with information about additional support services.

Donating Goods

Food and toiletry items can be delivered directly to the food bank between the hours of 9.30 - 12.30 any week day, or donated through the collection points located within Trowbridge Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys. We would also ask that you kindly check that any donations you make are in date. This will save any unnecessary wastage.

Setting Up A Donation Point

Whether you’re a business, community organisation, or individual, setting up a donation point in your workplace or local area is a fantastic way to support Storehouse. From short-term collections to ongoing partnerships, we’d love to hear your ideas and help you get started.

Group donations
If you’re part of a group looking to organise a collection, we’d be delighted to work with you. Get in touch and we can explore how to make it happen. We regularly partner with local schools, Guides, Scouts, and youth groups who generously collect items and raise funds to support our work in the community.

Financial Giving

Financial donations make a real difference. They allow us to buy exactly what’s needed, when it’s needed—while also making the most of bulk purchasing to stretch every pound further.

If you’d like to support Storehouse, you can also purchase essential items directly through our Amazon Wishlist, helping us keep shelves stocked with the products most in demand.
