LIVING AS A GLOBAL COMMUNITY
PEOPLE AGAINST POVERTY
West Wilts Vineyard is passionate about seeing individuals and communities flourish, both at home and overseas. We seek to facilitate opportunities for people to engage spiritually, intellectually and practically in fulfilling God’s heart for us to act justly and challenge injustice - locally, regionally and globally.
We are committed to learning more from people around the world about how our lives, behaviours and choices impact the marginalised and materially poor, and how we can affect change personally and corporately. This year we will continue to host guest speakers who are working globally to address issues of poverty and injustice. We will also continue to support the work of People Against Poverty by a commitment to monthly giving, hosting a charitable event and raising awareness of their overseas projects. Additionally we will be giving financially and practically to a number of local and international charities with whom we have close relationships. To date we have supported charities such as Compassion, Operation Christmas Child and Unseen UK.
VINEYARD CHURCHES UK & IRELAND
Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland Missions is committed to working with local churches in the UK and Ireland to equip them for cross-cultural work and participate in the mission of God around the world. It seeks to empower and develop indigenous leaders and ultimately help mobilise church planting movements in every nation. If you would like to find out more about Vineyard Missions, you can sign up on their website for a regular prayer newsletter, which contains stories and information about the various partnerships. If you would like to know more about taking part in a ministry trip, leadership development, cross-cultural training, you can contact Nick Sutton (VCUKI Missions Team Co-ordinator) at missions@vcuki.org.uk.
